Privacy policy

Mint Product Tabs is a Shopify app made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). It shows tabs or an accordion on a store's product pages, built from the product description's headings and from tabs the merchant writes in the app. This policy explains what the app handles, why, and when it's deleted.
The short version
- The app does not collect, receive or store any information about the store's customers or visitors.
- The tabs are rendered by the store's theme from Shopify's own data. The storefront makes no requests to our servers, sets no cookies and uses no tracking or browser storage.
- We keep only the merchant's tab settings, and we never sell or share them, use them for advertising or AI training, or combine them across stores.

Product data the app reads (for the preview, the list of product metafields, collection and page names) is read live from Shopify when the merchant opens those pages and is not stored. The tab settings are also saved in the merchant's own store as an app setting (an app-data metafield), where the theme block reads them; Shopify removes it when the app is uninstalled.
Customer privacy requests
- Access and erasure requests (Shopify's
customers/data_requestandcustomers/redact): the app holds no customer data, so there is nothing to return or delete. We acknowledge the requests. - Store deletion (
shop/redact, sent 48 hours after a merchant uninstalls): we permanently delete everything we hold for the store. If that request never arrives, we delete it all 30 days after uninstall anyway.
Where data is processed and how it's protected
The app runs on Cloudflare (hosting and database) and connects to Shopify's APIs. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to Mint Labs staff who need it to run the service. We use no other sub-processors, analytics or trackers. See our security policy.
Your rights
Merchants can delete their tabs in the app at any time, and uninstalling deletes everything as described above. Email us with any request and we respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify merchants in the app.
